Last week there were all kinds of activities and a  satsang in Viha country but I didn't have a ride.  However, there was an announcement that Harideva was  bringing a crew down to El Rio... Your Dive, a funky  establishment about 10 blocks from my place, so I  headed out on foot to check it out.

A block from my place is the Women's Building, where  I  played my first live gig about 25 years ago. I was  known as Kid Business, fronting a band known as The  Indicators. LOL!!!!

The murals are reflective of many of the colorfully  decorated buildings in the Mission District.

Women's Building

On virtually every block I ran into down and out  homeless people. While I was photographing the  Women's  Building a guy was peeing on the street next to me  in
broad daylight. What makes this particularly  disturbing is all the yuppies who walk past these  folks as if they are not there.

I can't photograph these people because I feel it is  intrusive and disrespectful. These are folks who  live  without any privacy while others live in comparative  luxury all around them. This is very difficult for  me  to accept but it is the case.

Here is a street sign attempting to bring attention  to  this deplorable situation. Although I am not exactly  homeless, I cannot afford any health care either.

If there were other sannyasins there I didn't know them. Harideva didn't stay long.

I did have fun dancing to a smokin' salsa band.

Peace,
Jivano
